What should we bring?
- Towels and bedding are provided. All beds are fitted
with down comforters and some down pillows. If a member of
your party is
allergic to down, consider bringing your own blankets.
- Laundry facilities are available along with detergents
and other basic cleaners.
- Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer is available but you will
need to bring all other food, condiments, and beverages.
- The full-sized refrigerator/freezer has an ice maker.
- The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots & pans, mixer, blender,
coffee maker, common spices and even an espresso maker and
bread machine.
Got Milk?
If you're traveling in to Meeker, there's a Super Wal-Mart
and a City Market in Rifle. Stop at Watt's Ranch Market if
you're already in Meeker.
Top off your gas tank
Once you leave Meeker, it is very difficult to find fuel so
make sure you top off before you leave town.
Especially if you plan on doing much driving.

Phone service?
The phone number at the Lodge is (970) 878-4022.
This is a good number for people to call but the line restricts long-distance calls.
You can, however, dial
1-800 numbers to place credit card calls.
Cell Phones--Depending on
your wireless provider, cell phones may not work.
Sprint does not work well unless analog roaming is enabled.
Emergency 911 service is always available.
Television?
Television service is provided through DISH network.
There are no premium movie channels but we can make special arrangements for people to use
pay-per-view to cheer on their
favorite team.
Do I need my swimming suit?
If you're asking about a hot tub, we've talked about it, but,
no, we don't have one. If you need a break from the midday
sun, taking a dip in Lake
Avery or the White River is a refreshing option. Don't be
surprised if you see kids "surfing" down the spillway on the
dam.
During the fall and winter months, you might want to bring a suit
and plan a stop at
the soothing hot
springs in Glenwood on your way back to Denver.
What recreation gear do I need?
Plan on bringing everything you need for sledding, skiing,
snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, hunting, snow shoeing,
photography or anything else you plan on doing.
Bugs are typically not bad at the cabin, but the mosquitoes
can get pretty annoying along the river and around the
lake.
